“With the helmet I have extra confidence”

I am a older surfer (66 years old) and have been surfing with hats and helmets for about 20 years now. A visit to an eye specialist a couple of decades ago confronted me with the choice have an operation followed by radioactive drops and it might not even work or protect your eyes. What followed was a series of prototype protection strategies culminating with a Gath helmet plus a half visor giving me many years of ear, eye and skin protection (I'm now as bald as Peter Garrett). I still like charging sizeable waves and with the helmet I have extra confidence. Just one hit (my own board) wrecked my helmet a few years ago but probably saved my life. Surfing crowds and there are plenty of them in my home town of Byron Bay the Gath is a must.
