Gath Sports, a renowned name in protective gear for action sports, is making history by launching its first skate team and proudly welcoming 14-year-old Indigo “Gogo” Dale as the inaugural team rider. This young Australian ripper has already carved a name for herself in the skateboarding scene and is set to inspire a generation of skaters with her passion, talent, and determination.

A Rising Star from Margaret River

Hailing from the vibrant skate community of Margaret River, Western Australia, Indigo began her skateboarding journey casually in early 2021 and became serious about the sport by December of the same year. In just 3.5 years, Gogo has risen through the ranks, consistently making podium finishes in the WA Women’s Open Division and even clinching first-place titles. Her home spot, Margaret River Skatepark, is where she honed her craft and developed her signature style.

When asked about her best trick, Gogo proudly names the G-Twist—a move that exemplifies her technical skill and fearless approach to skateboarding. She’s inspired by idols like Grace Marhoefer, who exemplifies grace and power in the sport. Gogo’s ultimate dream? To skate on the grand stage of the LA Olympics.

Since stepping up to the WA Women’s Open Division just over two years ago, Gogo has consistently delivered remarkable performances:

  • Podium finishes: Including first places at the 2022 and 2023 Battle of the Bay and has podiumed in every Western Australia women’s open skate event in the last 3 years.

  • Signature moments: Landing a G-Twist above coping air and nailing a late grab backside air.

  • Rankings: Currently third in the Women’s Open Park in WA.

Beyond competition, Gogo dreams of turning pro and inspiring others to pursue their passions with the same intensity she brings to skateboarding.

A Bright Future Ahead

As Gogo gears up for her upcoming competitions, including the Mandurah Action Sport Competition, she’s laser-focused on her goals. Her board setup—8.25-inch deck, 144 trucks, 58 Hawk Bones wheels, and ceramic bearings—is tailored for peak performance in park and vert disciplines.

For Gogo, skateboarding is more than a sport; it’s a way of life. Her journey—from a primary school discovery at the local skatepark to becoming the first rider on Gath Sports’ Skate Team—is a testament to her relentless drive and passion.
