Gath Riders Shine in Margaret River

The past two weeks in Margaret River have been nothing short of spectacular for Gath Sports athletes, showcasing skill, determination, and a true love for windsurfing.

During the Big Air National Event in Augusta, our riders demonstrated why they are among the best in the country. Ben Gerhardt once again claimed the U16 title, impressing everyone with his precision and fearless approach. Not stopping there, Ben also delivered an outstanding performance in the Open division, showing he’s more than ready for the big stage.

Henry Gerhardt also had an exceptional run, taking second place in the U16 division and pushing through to the semifinals in the Open division. Both Ben and Henry relied on the Neo Hat, with Ben also testing the RGM helmet during the early heats, proving that Gath gear keeps riders performing at their best.

The Margaret River season has been packed with international action, highlighted by the 4-star Windsurfing World Tour stop at Main Break, where the world’s best competed in thrilling conditions. Our own Marketing and Team Manager Federico Infantino advanced to the Quarterfinals, facing tough wave selection challenges and not landing  clean a massive aerial—a moment that captured one of the event’s most iconic photos.

Meanwhile, our new young team rider Jake Ghiretti stole the spotlight by winning the U21 title and achieving an incredible second place in the Pro division, all while riding confidently with the SFC Gath helmet.

It’s been a remarkable fortnight for the Gath Sports team, proving once again that with the right gear and mindset, riders can reach new heights. Congratulations to all our athletes, we can’t wait to see what the next event brings.
